Publication Ethics

JPL is committed to upholding ethical standards in the steps involved from submission to publication of a manuscript. The following principles guide our ethical policy’

  1. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit their original work and properly cite all the sources. Unethical practices such as plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data is strictly prohibited 
  2. Authorship and Acknowledgement: Only people who made significant contributions to a particular paper should be listed as authors. Other contributors should also be acknowledged. 
  3. Data integrity and Transparency: authors must present accurate data. The Chief Editor may demand access to raw data for verification and authors are expected to provide the access.  
  4. Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Any potential financial, personal or professional conflict of interest must be disclosed. 
  5. Self-Citation Limits: The journal discourages excessive self-citation. Authors are allowed to have a maximum of three (3) self-citations per article. If there is a justification to exceed this limit, the author must write to the Chief Editor for possible consideration 
  6. Corrections and Retractions: authors must notify any significant errors after submission or publication and cooperate in corrections or retractions.
